A Vacation to Remember

Hey Y’all!  I hope you are enjoying a beautiful summer.  We are finally unpacked and settled from our vacation to Virginia and Pennsylvania. 

I wanted to share a few highlights from our family vacation with you.  We had a fantastic time overall, but it started out a little rocky…LITERALLY! Just keep reading to find out why.

When we arrived in Virginia, we decided to visit a nearby beach. 

The kids enjoyed flying kites and getting some sun. Our boys loved playing at the beach with their cousins.

Well……we weren’t even there for an hour when a rock cut our baby boy’s leg while he was exploring in the water.  Really?  Needless to say our beach visit was over as we headed straight to a nearby urgent care.

He was such a trooper while he got TEN stiches.  Ask me how I was?  Not to good.  I finally realized that it could have been worse.  I’m so thankful for the doctors and nurses at the urgent care.  They were some kinda wonderful!  Our little guy is doing fine and back to his normal tricks.

In other news…..

We had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful resort.

Busch Gardens was a blast!

We also did some shopping at an outlet mall and tried out some new restaurants.  You can never go wrong with shopping and eating, right?

We attended my husband’s class reunion in his hometown…. DATE NIGHT!

We took the boys to feed the fish (SN: We were allowed to do this).

I must say one of the best moments of our vacation was getting together to look at old family videos and pictures.  So much fun!  Can you guess who this is?

Even though we had a little accident in the beginning, our vacation was time well spent with family.  We are home, our little guy is healing nicely, and I guess it’s time to start planning for the new school year…..maybe I’ll do that next week. :)
