Products
Here's a product that I've been loving and it's pretty new to our store. My students recently did these word work activities. They totally love them! My students are the best at trying out my activities before I put them in our store. They can easily point out mistakes...lol, ask questions, and give me a thumbs up or thumbs down. They get so excited when I want them to try out something I have created.
Area
Here's my home away from home.
My favorite area is the carpet and our interactive whiteboard. We meet here every morning for our Team Meeting (SN: I have a sports-themed classroom.) We also meet here throughout the day for read-alouds, mini-lessons, and heart-to-heart discussions. My students seem to love this area as well as our classroom library. Can you tell that we love books???
Signal
I have a few signals that I use for transitions, but I think my all-time favorite is the rainstick.
When I turn my rainstick, my students know to stop what they are doing and look at me. As a bonus, I sometimes let a student turn it for me. And finally...
Sanity
I enjoy read-aloud time each day. I love to see my students get "really big eyes" as they wait to see what's going to happen next or they get so engrossed that they make predictions to each other about what will happen next.
I also enjoy lunch and OUTDOOR recess time. This gives me a chance to regroup for the afternoon and talk to my teaching buddies.
Link up! I'd love to hear about you and your class.
